Stories of the Past

These are the names, genres, and brief synopses of the stories I wrote when I was younger. These were feeble attempts at literature and I will not be posting them. I began writing Lila when I was 5, and finished the Kidnapper's Secret at age 11. Hopefully these will make you laugh or at least let you know what sorts of things I used to write.
  • The Lila Series - Unknown genre. These are stories about a little girl named Lila who does normal little-girl things and grows to be a "big girl" (aka 9 years old.) I started writing these at age 5 and stopped at age 8. Hand-written and illustrated. I wrote three of these. Scene of note: Any scene where Lila gets together with her three friends, named Emma, Emmy, and Beth. They do ridiculous and unrealistic things.
  • Gang of Girls - Failed attempt at mystery. I wrote two stories about a group of six friends who solved outlandishly strange yet simple mysteries. Hand-written and illustrated when I was 9. Scene of note: Abby (the main character)'s breakthrough scene when she discovers a weirdly shaped leaf. The illustration had a ridiculous expression on her face and the whole sequence was totally contrived.
  • The Composition - A not quite so feeble attempt at mystery. It was about a 12-year-old girl named Regina whose musical score went missing - stolen. The clues are blazingly obvious and the story builds up to an anticlimax. Hey - I tried. This was also my first story on the computer. (It was 12 pages long.) Written when I was 10 as a present for Elizabeth GoldenThistle. Scene of note: The scene where her older brother complains about his shoes with ridiculous-looking soles. It made Elizabeth laugh so hard she nearly cried.
  • The Kidnapper's Secret - Finally an okay attempt at mystery. It was about a 13-year-old girl named Maria who tries to solve the mystery of a criminal - a kidnapper, to be specific. It had a decent plot, but the clues were still fairly obvious. It had an okay climax, and I wrote it when I was 11, also on the computer. After this, I discovered that mystery wasn't really my thing. Scene of note: The nightmare sequences were actually quite good and relevant to what she was doing - not a prophetic foreshadowing, for once.
  • The Greatest Treasure - My first and only Wizard101 fanfiction. It starred 7 wizards, one of each school (this was inspired by the Tale of Sierra WinterBreeze) and it was about saving the Spiral, but I came up with the concept of Mordromancy, Black Magic, which I've taken a lot farther. However, I found myself only finishing chapters every couple of months and eventually, my enthusiasm for this was mostly dead. That might have something to do with it not being completely original.
Just writing that brought back memories. I still remember writing them very clearly.

On the other end of the story spectrum, we have my "now" stories, some of which I am quite proud of. Those can be found and read under their individual tabs on this blog.
